Roses for Hybridizing

Blotch (Hulthemia) If Hulthemia hulthemosa (syn. H. persica is a species of rose then is it the most primitive one, barely able to hybridize with any other rose. All existing roses with the Hulthemia blotch descend from one of only two H. persica hybrids, named Tigris and Euphrates. Today many roses display the Blotch but they are still in need of refinement.
