Has anyone produced anything worthwhile using Gertrude Jekyll as a parent?
I am still not aware of any introduced.
As seed parent I found every seedling to be a tiny runt!
However, from pollen I did end up with one very strong growing plant. It had a fully double bloom that opened as a flat rosette and was fragrant.
Unfortunately that rose refused to set hips. So I froze some of its pollen and gave it away.
It needed backcrossed to gain more for the purposes I was pursuing.
If you decide to work with it, I would recommend as a pollen parent. Maybe planning on testing many different seed parents to find the best match.

Austin never produced anything from it. A few amateur breeders produced seedlings from it, but none appear to have much merit: lots of complaints about seedlings that were weak, disease-prone and blooms with thin petals. Ross Roses in Australia released one variety bred from it: https://rossroses.com.au/product/deane-ross-3/
