Thank you, Paul. When I polled you, Burling and Laurie Chaffin, Cal Poly was one of the first of several “must have” roses unanimously suggested. I quickly determined that it, like Arkansana, can for forced to rust here by being permitted to prematurely dry out. Being more observant and preventing it from becoming thoroughly dry has eliminated the rust. It is clean, flowers all the time and seems to accept virtually any pollen put on it (except, perhaps, Banksiae, but it isn’t accepted by most seed parents). This, and Pink Petticoat have been extremely reliable for me, as well as totally healthy in this difficult spot and year.
