I’m wondering if RdlH would have a (china) repeat-flowering pollen parent, because your seedling flowers in it’s first year. That would give you 1/4 juvenile bloomers, if “traditional” genetics apply.

I don’t know, but so far after two years of growing seedlings of RdlH× blotched moderns, this has been the only one to show juvenile bloom. So either I’ve been incredibly unlucky, or the odds are much lower than 1/4.
@Plazbo Triploidy definitely does make sense here! So far, pollen from this seedling is very very scarce, and I’m still waiting to see if it will form some hips from a few attempted pollinations. Fingers crossed that in spite of triploidy it has at least some fertility!
