My third batch of 15 germinations has occured! It is ((unknown rugosa X OP) X R-15) X OP. The mother plant has double purple flowers and formed large hips. Especially with rugosas it is possible that the original R-15 cross was only a self pollination (i.e. no R-15), however, I did get 9 seeds from my “mixed tetraploid” cross with this mother so there is a chance that it is a R-15 seedling that did not express R-15’s yellow color.
If you are interested in the rest of the seeds from this batch, please send me an e-mail request - do not post your request on this forum. Please include your post office address in a form such that I can simply cut it out and paste it to the envelope.

The procedure that I wiil use to determine who gets the seeds is a “first e-mail arrives - first gets”. There are NO restrictions on your use of these seeds. i.e. if one of them turns out to be the next “Knock-Out” - it is yours to profit from.
My fourth batch of 15 germinations has occured! It is (Folksinger X (William Baffin X OP)) X OP. The mother plant has bright pink, double, nicely shaped flowers. The mother flowered in June and in October.

Henry, the seeds arrived in perfect condition! Thank you so much. One seed had already germinated inside the bag, the William Baffin cross- I planted that one right away. I’m going to put the rest in the refrigerator like I did with my own Elizabeth seedlings. I’m very excited.
Once again thank you for the seeds, it’s too kind of you.
My fifth batch of over 15 germinations has occured! It is ((George Vancouver X John Davis) X ((Delicata X OP) X ((Therese Bugnet X OP) X OP))) X open pollination.
The mother is a pink single. The seeds are small and very similar to the seeds of normal rugosas.

My sixth batch of over 15 germinations has occured! It is (Carefree Beauty X Heritage) X open pollination.
The mother is pictured at: http://home.neo.rr.com/kuska/carefreeBeautyXHeritage.htm

My seventh batch of 15 germinations has occured! It is (Royal Bassino X OP) X open pollination.
The mother is a bright red single shrub rose.

Thanks for the seeds Henry! Some of them were already germinating in the bag.
My eight batch of 15 germinations has occured! It is Carefree Sunshine X open pollination.
In addition to the yet ungerminated, Bromelain treated seeds from this batch, I also have many open pollinated hips From Carefree Sunshine.
If you are interested in the rest of the seeds from this batch and/or in some open pollinated hips, please send me an e-mail request - do not post your request on this forum. Please include your post office address in a form such that I can simply cut it out and paste it to the envelope.
Please include your preference. For example:
Seeds only.
Hips only.
Seeds first, but will accept hips.
Hips first, but will accept seeds.
The procedure that I wiil use to determine who gets the seeds/hips is a “first e-mail arrives - first gets” although I probably will have enough hips to honor many hip requests.

My ninth batch of 15 germinations has finally occured (for a while germination really slowed down)! It is Morden Centennial X open pollination.

My tenth batch of 15 germinations has occured! It is (((Delicata X OP) X ((Therese Bugnet X OP) X OP)) X (acicularis X OP)) X OP
I would expect that these would be tetraploid as my suspected tetraploed (acicularis X OP) was used. Also, the Delicata-Therese Bugnet plant behaves like a tetraploid in other pollination.

I have added an additional column to the spreadsheet. It contains the number of the seedlings of that cross that I was able to plant out (as of that date). I had to decide beteen the number planted out or the number that died.
