Hybrid Rugosa Roses

This summer three seedlings of Rosa Rugosa hybrid “Pranciška”(Rosa gallica “Officinalis” x Hybrid Rugosa “Schneekoppe”) x “Stephanie Baronin zu Guttenberg Rose” bloomed. The aforementioned hybrid was pollinated with Rose “Pauls Hymalayan Musk”,” Alba Maxima “ Rose pollen. These are tall,upright,2-meter busches. The wrinkling of the leaves has disappeared. It blooms once. It bears fruit. It is still participating in hybridization. Rosa “Pauls Hymalayan Musk” overwinters covered in zone 4 until June and is a small busch. I wanted to give it stronger genes. The first photo is Hybrid rugosa “Pranciška” x “Stephanie Baronin zu Guttenberg rose” hybrid. The other photos are of her

seedlings.

Thank you .I was also surprised to such rings.

Thank you. We still need to improwe -reduce the busches, and achieve two-time flowering.

Thank you. The aesthetic appearance is the strong point of these flowers. They are in pretty good health anyway. And they smell nice. I’m also attaching a photo of the busches in early September. The seedlings were planted in 2023.

I echo everybody who’s already said some form of “Gorgeous results”! I particularly like the soft pink one.

Are any of these rugosa hybrids available for purchase?

I would be interested in seeds as well.

The roses are super gorgeous :smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes: I notice they have well defined, clean centers with no proliferation typical of some gallica hybrids.
