YEAH!! That’s a good one!!
Jadae, you certainly have an interesting cross there!! Good luck with the babies!!
Jadae, “are…”?? I gather you have several germinating??
Now that is an interesting cross… Keep us posted!
Crimson Glory X (Darlow’s Enigma X Lynnie). I have about 9 seedlings with the first about to open with a very full flower. I did this cross on the fly to see if Darlow’s Enigma X Lynnie was fertile and not only is it fertile but it works great on tetraploids. It sets op hips also but not many seeds inside. Its pollen is very fertile. Only did one hip on Crimson Glory and had 39 seeds in it. It is also extremely blackspot and mildew resistant and is a continous bloomer. I will use its pollen on just about everything next year but mostly on a The Fairy X R.wichuraiana seedling to get Wichuraiana genes in its offspring.

Yeah, a handful. Im still waiting on Belle Epoque x Rosa moyesii ‘Geranium’. Both crosses were made, refridgerated and sewn at the same exact time +/- an hour or two.
Great cross Patrick. Please keep us updated. Any pictures of the pollen parent?
Thanks Robert. I have never taken any pictures of it but will be glad to take one tomorrow if it ever stops raining. Its form is more like Lynnie and the flower is pink but smaller than Lynnie. It is almost without leaves and would probably lose all its leaves up North. The tips have leaves and there are actually a couple of flowers on it right now. I firmly believe it would lose it deciduous trait after the first cross as its seedlings that I now have will. There is a fragrance but not as strong as Darlow. I had several seedlings last year from this cross and only two passed my blackspot/mildew test. I got rid of the other seedling even tho it was thornless because it was extremely stingy with its flowers. I now regret not keeping it. I will cross it with R.Wichuraiana thornless to try to get some thornless seedlings and then cross them with Softee.

It sounds very interesting. I have some seeds out of Lynnie planted now. She sheds her pollen very early so it’s sometimes hard to catch her at the right stage for pollination. I haven’t tried her for pollen as much.
Well it has been a while since people have reported in regarding germinations. The Cal Poly x Home Run cross resulted in quite a few sucessful germinations. Things slowed down for a bit and have started picking up again. I now have some Morden Sunrise x Home Run coming up. The first one up was an albino that never greened up, but today the green ones started poking through. Morden Sunrise x William Baffin have also started to come on up.

Right now: Solitaire x Baby Love, American Honor x Pretty Lady are in full germination swing.
Jadae, I’m not familiar with either American Honor or Pretty Lady. How is their disease resistance? The Solitaire x Baby Love cross should give you some nice seedlings.
Liz
American Honor is an exhibition HT from the 90’s. It is from Silver Jubilee and Sheer Elegance. It is similar to Silver Jubille but larger blooms, longer stems, more scent and way lighter color. Oh, and doesnt blackspot like SJ. It is actually my oldest rose. It’s nearing 15 years. It’s a goode seed setter.
Pretty Lady is a garden floribunda that is derived from a line similar to Baby Love and some smaller, European HT’s. It is short, very healthy here & peachy white. It is pollen mainly. It seems to only like to self itself.
I’m excited today because it seems one of the Persian Sunset crosses germinated.
Queen Elizabeth X Persian Sunset.
The others crossed with Heidi and my seedling of Abe Darby X Basye’s Amphidiploid… they haven’t germinated.
Congrats Enrique!
You got mail, Robert…
I do? Where?
A few more H
You should try Abe Darby x Westerland.
I will try that for sure Jadae! A resistant super fragrant rose with red/orange flush of flowers would be a very exciting rose.
The funny thing is that theyre almost half sisters. One one side you have 50% Circus and on the other side you have 50% Yellow Cushion. These 2 parents are sisters.
