On a walk through a residential area two weeks ago I noticed this R. gallica in full bloom. It is still flowering profusely today. Its beauty and fragrance is marvelous. Up to now I have not been able to find a definite match through photos on the Internet, in books or rose catalogs. Unfortunately, all red- pink-purple tones with its variations are difficult to capture with a camera, why a comparison is difficult The color of the flowers is darker than shown, a kind of very dark pink with a light hue of purple. Perhaps one of you owns this rose or still has an idea about the name. I would be very grateful and happy for that!

I don’t think that it is a gallica, but to me it looks a bit like the centifolia ‘Paul Ricault’.
