It is inevitable when growing out seedlings that eventually you will get the delightful surprise of one that is especially prone to some malady. I’ve had some with the added bonus of blackspot and powdery mildew. But I confess, I do have a favorite. Rust. Yep, the orange and reddish colors play really well against the green of the leaves (orange is the complimentary color to green, check the color wheel).
I am fortunate to have this particular preference, as I work primarily with rugosas and rosa acicularis and this is a frequent bonus when you “brake them open”. One often learns to love what they have…
