When I first posted this seedling, it was suggested that it might not be consistent. Well, to my surprise, it is! Odd little seedling but I like it. Opinions? Name suggestions? Current code name: Road Runner.

Sine Wave is kinda cute
Sure has the look of a triumph of uniqueness and appeal … congratulations. Partial white petal trim reminds me of Baron Giraud de l’Ain

It looks like the wave is produced by a bilateral necrotizing factor of some sort. You can see dead tissue along the fringe of white in that area of the petals. Do you have any closeup photos of nearly spent blooms?

Would you call it a “wine” color? I dunno… “Splash of wine” or “wine ruffles” or “Red Ruffles”…
I kinda like the idea of “splash” in the name, personally. To me it evokes the shape, and perhaps the eye.
But then, your rose-cross by any other name would look just as sweeeet…
I hope it has good health and rebloom too. If so, that’s a real winner! (If I had a bit more space and a secure yard, I would very quickly volunteer to test down here in BS heaven. )
