This is the tricky time. When you have real seasons and move the seedlings outdoors. Some can take it better than others. We just had the warmest weather for these dates since 1942.
The advantage of germinating outdoors is that there is no need to harden off. I like it.
One of the advantages of being able to start them outdoors: No transitions, no hardening them off, no schlepping in and out. I do not miss it. but there are some small disadvantages starting outdoors, (Birds, rodents, more watering, hail, extra fertilizing, frost) so it all evens out.
This was not ideal but it worked. Nailed screen and needs to be deeper boxes. Now to just pick the best of the best and I just watered for the first time after the reminder.
