Are we allowed to trade rose cuttings/plants with each other on these threads? It would save each of us $60 a variety by only having to pay for shipping and increase our options for hybridizing.
If it is allowed I was thinking of having a pest/disease history of the plant/mother plant and listing which of those issues were currently active attached to the posts to keep the trades safe and fair.
The sharing of germplasm was historically quite common here, but I think, with the prevalence of RRD, folks’ enthusiasm for such might have wained.
If you do so, be very conscious of, and very open about the existence of RRD, both in your county or neighborhood and that of the person you are trading with.
Also, as hybridizers ourselves, I would suggest sensitivity to the propagation and offering of proprietary material might be warranted.
