Still Worth Planting Refrigerated Hips?

I left some hips in the refrigerator from November until April due to a stressful final semester of college. Will the seeds contained within certainly be rotten by now, or are they worth trying to germinate still?

There’s almost no chance that they’ve rotted–you might even have done rather well by “neglecting” them that way, as long as they stayed moist the whole time (if not, they might need another cycle of cold after being hydrated). Sow away, and congrats on getting through that final semester!

I have several 2 year old seedlings I just pricked out and planted after pulling them out of fridge (2nd round) last month, so I would say, yeah. Keep trucking.
