Last year I couldn’t get anything from Starry Night. I’ve always used it as a pollen parent since I never see OP hips. But to be fair, I only got a few blooms to use since it was in deep shade. This year I moved it else where and got lots of blooms to use. I don’t see any hips forming on Livin Easy, Cafe Ole, Baby Love, Tamora, Abe Darby, or other roses. But before I give up, I want to hear other people’s experiance with Livin Easy.
I can’t give my experience as I’m a neophyte, but according to HelpMeFind.com:
Livin’ Easy (Fellowship in GB): 5 non-sport descendents: 4 pollen, 1 seed (“Chaldean”)
Cafe Ole: 1 descendent: listed as “seedling of Cafe Ole” (Purest Monica)
Baby Love (yellow?): appears it has been a seed parent a number of times
Tamora: 4 descendents always as pollen parent.
Abraham Darby: 6 descendents, 3 as seed parent (William Morris, Jude the Obscure, Great Phoebus)
Hope this is helpful.
Opps… I came home late from work. The last line was soppose to be, “But before I give up, I want to hear other people’s experiance with STARRY NIGHT”. I already know Livin Easy is fertile. It’s Starry Night that I’m most intrested. Thanks anyways.
