Abstract: "The effects of pyrroloquinoline quinone on pollen germination and pollen tube growth of apple were studied. The results showed that the effects of adding pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) in medium on pollen germination and pollen tube growth of apple were obvious. Adding 10 mM PQQ in medium could improve the pollen germination and pollen tube growth of Meguihong apple. The effects of 1 mg PQQ on improving the pollen germination and pollen tube growth of Fuji apple were best.
