I did a some crosses with Ann Endt last year. It did set hips well. The germination rate was lower than expected but it is a young plant. So hopefully it will improve.
R. foliolosa has been a good parent so far for me. It has crossed successfully with several diploids. It definitely crosses well with rugosas. Hoping for Ann Endts coloring with double flowers.
Have several R. foliolosa x R. woodsii that are covered in PM this year.
This year I am only doing three crosses using R. foliolosa. I am crossing it with Tom Thumb, Harison’s Yellow, and R. glauca. Got too many seedlings from last year that I will have to wait for their first bloom so I limited it two these three crosses because I have my doubts about if they will set or not. But if they do I will have to make room.
