Rose Research Symposium summary

Here is a link to a summary of the event. It was a lot of fun. I am in a group picture on the bottom of page 34 on the left most side. I’m the guy with with a strong farmer’s tan showing and kind of long sideburns. :0) Touring J&P was a great experience. They were showing us their whip and tounge stenting grafts onto R. fortuniana for Florida growers. The grafted cuttings heal and root at the same time under mist and the plugs are later shipped to FL to a grower who finishes them there.

Hey David, it’s nice to put a face to a name. Sounds like a great symposium. I’ve been out of the hoticultural field for so long I’m sure I would have learned a lot. Aren’t those grafted cuttings called “stentlings”? Thanks, Robert
