Any advice on how to repel rose borers or how to seal the cane? They’re native here so I don’t want to kill them but they bore deep.
They target only my blondy rose for some reason. This one dug about 10 cm into one cane.

I have a similar pest problem with these, but they tend to bore in on the sides of canes for me, so sealing doesn’t do much to prevent them.
