Red Dawn Dr FL Skinner Suzanne Eddies Crimson Arrived

I am pleased, I received my Red Dawn, Dr. F.L. Skinner, Suzanne and Eddie’s Crimson today from Pickering. All top notch graftings of a large size compared to their standard of the last few years. Unfortunately I am getting rusty as I have moved to hardies and can not anymore tell whether they are on multiflora or other - sure looks like multiflora though some have that carrot look of laxa.

Of course had harvesting actually been completed in early November it would not look so bizzare as it is going to be planting these rose in Zone 3 A 3 weeks before Christmas … only 0 C tonight up from -15 C last week. They will be protected … I believe it when they say rain delayed the harvest as the grafts took a couple of hours to dry

Some reason I kept getting a syntax on Paul’s old thread so started a new one than staying.

Joel told me years ago that many of the Gallicanae and other “botanicals” are budded onto Laxa, not multiflora. I would expect most, if not all, of your selections are budded onto Laxa.
