Rain, Steam but not Speed*

Peter Harris has been pretty well socked in by the recent zephyr that mauled the Appalachians. I’m wondering if anyone else is similarly affected?

When I last spoke with Peter, a couple days ago, he thought restoration of power might be imminent but not so. He had phone service because the phone lines run up the hollow from the city while his electric power comes down over the ridge.

From the Charleston Gazette: “I know of at least 477 broken poles…and that’s pretty much unprecedented, to have that many poles in that many places. And some of the poles date back to the time that they were set by mules.”
