This one bloomed this morning. I couldn’t tell if this is pink or lavender so I settled for pink with lavender shading. I’d like to classify it as lavender but it looks a little too pink. This one had very good resistance last season and so far this season as well. The parentage is Thomas Afflack x (Abraham Darby x (Golden Angel x L83)). This combines genes from Carefree Beauty, Basye’s Blueberry, Abraham Darby, L83 and Golden Angel. There could be good potential here and I like this one so far.
Nice looking shape Rob. From the shot it is looking a ‘bit’ more pink.
Thank you David. I like the shape too.
Pretty color and nice shape, Rob! Great work.
Thanks again John!
Is it fragrant?

Rob, again you have given us a lovely seedling, I don’t suppose you could do it in yellow for me please ?
Cathy,
I don’t have a very good sense of smell but I’m told it has a sweet fragrance at a 5 or 6 on a 1-10 fragrance scale.
David,
Thank you. I did have one in yellow but lost it over the winter, CPPL. I think I may have another yellow in the pipeline to replace it. I’ll post if it turns out good. Thanks again.
Could it be peonin?
I don’t have an answer to that Johannes. Maybe someone else can respond?
Why does the link go to a yellow rose?
would assume reused the helpmefind listing for a different rose.
We have the linage for the original post but there’s nothing on helpmefind that matches that lineage now.
No, the listing would not have been reused by HMF. Any changes to the listing would most likely have been done by the breeder (Rob Byrnes) or at his request. If a mistake is brought to the Admins’ attention and documented for proof, corrections will be made but otherwise, whatever is entered by the breeder or at the request of the breeder remains there. It IS possible in the Host move (two since 2015?) a link or photo didn’t migrate with the Forum but Rob’s entries on HMF should be as Rob left them.
I meant reused by Rob.
eg “would assume (Rob) reused the helpmefind listing for a different rose”
Just based on what’s there currently and when this thread was posted (also by Rob). The current rose was bred after the post date.
