Though not generally relevant to rose breeding, if you know what a thylakoid membrane is then this paper is for you. Basically what it shows is that the electron transfer mechanism built into photosynthesis is potentially more malleable than has been previously believed. Budding genetic engineers and photovoltaicists take note.
