Hi Kim, I’ve heard of Bruce, but have not met him. I think he lives in Elora or Fergus, just north of Guelph. There are a couple of his roses still in commerce around here. Liz
I posted this years baby photos in my gallery http://www.rosebreeders.org/forum/control.php?2,panel=image_gallery,screen=simple,page=1.
It was easy to upload but then going back in to add the info I just wish the page turner was at the top as well as the bottom of the page. Is there a way to edit more than one pic at a time that I missed?
Hi David,
Are they your seedlings?
If so, wow!
Rod
Sorry to disappoint you Rod, they are not my seedlings. I can only wish and hope one day I could achieve that sort. I used that photo just to see if I could place one on the new forum. So now I have to own up to who does own them. They belong to Mr. David Austin. We were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time as they say and met him. He gave my wife and I unlimited access to his entire nursery. I have some other shots which I will place in my gallery soon and these are with Mr Austin’s permission.
Finally have some photos up. All op. Needed that first. Next year it will be interesting to see what the crosses contributed. Neil
Elizabeth, I really enjoy seeing the diversity of offspring from your Alberta x John Cabot cross.
Thinking about how much of a role chance plays, I gotta say, sometimes I think the planning of crosses makes about as much sense as analyzing how to blow on dice before rolling them…
Thanks Philip, I’ve been struck by the variation that comes out of Alberta, too. There have been several crosses that I have made using the same pollen parent on both Alberta and it’s seed parent Carefree Beauty. The variation that comes out of the Alberta crosses is considerable, while the variation that comes out of Carefree Beauty is fairly narrow. Isn’t genetics great?
Hmmm… the galleries aren’t showing up for me right now.
None are showing up for me, either, Joe.
Yeah, same here I can sort of see my photos, but when I want to view my gallery, nothing…
The word is the gallery is back up and running. Try it now.
