OK, I know you experienced rosy types will be smirking but I had to inform the world that the first little seedlings are up - given my utterly cavalier treatment of them, including being upended, knocked over, peed on (by a dog!) and generally hauled roughly around the garden (which has been in the process of complete renovation), these tiny green sparks of life are completely thrilling. Now onto the next stage - emasculation and flower sex (isn’t the plant world great?)Inevitably, not a single label has survived (the peeing dog has learnt to pick them out of pots and bury them!!)
campanula, see? I told you it wasn’t rocket science! LOL! Yes, there are some things you may find which make your success rate improve, but if they can germinate all by themselves, what could possibly be so difficult about it? Given the barest minimums, roses are wonderfully persistent! Congratulations! It’s going to be fun hearing and seeing your results! Kim
Yeah congratulations!
Congrats, it is so exciting the first time you see your own sprouts, now just wait till the first bloom appears and you will be walking on air.
This is the best hobby ever - congratulations!
