'Nurse Tracey Davies'

Judging by pollen diameter it would appear that ‘Nurse Tracey Davies’ is a fertile triploid.

The rose is a good unfading yellow, very healthy even when pot grown and neglected, has set hips with pollen from both ‘Topaz Jewel’ and ‘Broadlands’ (*which looks to be diploid), and it’s own pollen looks good under the microscope.

So I cant help thinking it would be a good source of yellow in a diploid breeding program (or anywhere you want a healthy unfading Yellow).

Has anyone else done anything with it?

‘Nurse Tracey Davies’ still blooming and relatively black spot free. It’s the only rose still putting on a show this late in the season.

Pickering had Golden Smiles for sale several years ago. I suspect that the two are siblings or are otherwise directly related (maybe parent-child or half-sibling)
