A few weeks ago the first seedling of Lambert Closse x Home Run came up. It actually emerged with the first true leaves showing. I went to pot it up and NO ROOTS. I do not know what possessed me, but I potted it up anyway. It now has its 3rd set of leaves with the 4th set starting to show. The plant is very small, but otherwise it appears normal. Well today 2 more seedlings from that cross came up, one with roots and another NO ROOTS. I now was a bit curious about the 1st one, had it formed roots? So I dug up the 1st one and it does not have roots, but the hypocotyl is very swollen and must be acting like a root. Has anyone seen this before??
