Need “Scam seed” ID help

Hello! I am new to roses. My husband loves hybrid tea roses and I thought we could buy seeds because I always have bought seeds for plants. I ordered from Bulgaria on etsy what is supposed to be 100 hybrid tea mix seeds and only 3 germinated and grew. There was more but they didn’t produce a root. Anyway, they are 4 months old and I am pretty sure that they are not hybrid teas! But what are they?? All 3 look the same.

Thanks!

Never buy seeds on Etzy. You never know what you get and seeds are never the same as their parents. Better just buy a rose in store.

If I had to guess, I would probably say Rosa canina or one of its relatives, but it might take more time and photos to give a better answer.

It does look pretty similar. My plant ID labels it as Rosa Agrestis. Yes I think I may have to wait it out until I see a flower even.

Congratulations on growing new roses - they look healthy! Growing roses from seed is unpredictable - whether or when they germinate and what they become - it’s always an adventure. Looking forward to more pictures.

Thanks for the kind words. I wasn’t sure if I should have asked about them. I learned reading here since buying these and seeing them germinate that there are a lot of rose varieties with wide genetic pools and most seedlings don’t have desired traits whatsoever and so we did end up buying some good roses this spring that we enjoy.
I will update on the seedlings when there are flowers.

Be glad you actually got Roses from those seeds, and not Radishes.
