Someone mentioned recently they had sought Midas Touch but couldn’t obtain it. I might be able to provide cuttings from one. If you posted about the rose, please let me know. This is Tuesday. I will be where it grows on Friday so I’ll need to know by Thursday evening. Thanks. Kim
Its being sold through Weeks as a J/P product everywhere here at the local nurseries. I LOL’d pretty hard when I saw the Weeks + J/P tags as one whole tag. I caught a touch of dark humor, lol. I noticed that a lot of nurseries are now carrying authentic Austin roses in 3G pots. They cost about x1.5 the price of a Weeks or Star product, but theyre pretty big plants. Its the first time I have never seen Austin roses being sold in those numbers at independent nurseries in the Portland Metro. Once, Austin sold to a few in these weird 1g upright square pots. Usually, though, Heirlooms or J/P’s usual dozen is where most get their Austins.
Take home lesson: Star Roses and Austin Roses edged in where J/P did a face plant, but one can still get J/P roses where Weeks roses are sold.
It’s actually a decent yellow HT here. This one is a first year introduction from J&P I bought when it hit the local shelves. It’s been growing at my sister’s since then.
