Bonjour à tous!
Last summer it was the first time that I used Jens Munk as mother plant. From three different crosses I have made (27 Juin 2011) with the pollen of Thérèse Bugnet, Pierette Pavement and Harison’s Yellow, I have obtained : 2 fruits (66 seeds total) with Thérèse, 3 fruits (86 seeds total) with Pierette and 4 fruits (59 seeds total) with Harison.
All were harvested (13 Septembre) after only 77 days because the fruits were bursted. I have put the fruits in the fridge until they have been sowed (3 Octobre) and leaved them out at room temperature until November 12 when they have been returned in the fridge with all my others seedlings for 12 weeks.
And, in the morning January 3, I have had a surprise when I verified my seedlings, first sprout of Jens x Thérèse (after only 7 weeks and 3 days in the fridge)! I have took out and leaved it at room temperature. Eight more sprouts until January 11 and the same day first sprout of Pierette in the same container. The next day I have took out from the fridge Jens x Harison and the first sprout, and the only one until now, was appeared January 24.
The 2 photos show the results until today. First photo : (in back of) Jens x Thérèse Bugnet = 11 seedlings; and (in front) Jens x Pierette Pavement = 7 seedlings (2 of them are not visibles, sorry). Second photo : (in back of) Jens x Harison’s Yellow = 1 seedling, and (in front) it is a very nice surprise for me also, because this is 4 seedlings from OP Cibles (R. rugosa x Perle de Lyon). I am very excited to see what will happened with all these seedlings.
Voilà , maybe this information could be useful for some of you. For me it is sure I will try more crosses with Jens Munk this summer…!
