These embryos are now at a point where their true leaves have emerged, are the roots developed enough to plant?
The top ones root is about 1/4 inch/5mm and the bottom ones root is about 1/2inch/10mm.

I have planted embyros with less roots that have survived and died. For whatever that’s worth.

Yeah I’m a bit confused as Don’s guide says you should wait for root hairs to appear, and that he normally also waits for the first true leaves to emerge. But in this case the leaves are here but no root hairs. Maybe it isn’t that cut and dry
So far the seedlings have survived the transplant. I watered the soil beforehand and planted them. Every 12 hours for the first three days I used a spoon to drip a few drops of water on to them to hopefully minimise shock

You might consider some sort of humidity dome. Indoor seedlings grown in high humidity can die from being transitioned too quickly into real sun and lower humidity. Embryo rescues are particularly sensitive in the initial few days outside of the bag.

I am wondering if the amount of moisture is inhibiting root development. Cuttings, for instance, tend to push top growth and not roots when kept too wet.
Regardless, transitioning that to a pot will be tricky at best. It will definitely want a humidity dome or something to ease the transition.
I usually move my seedlings to media as soon as I see signs of a radicle, but I also have pretty poor success rates, so take my input with a lump of salt.
