Interplant is reported to sell Rosa persica hybrids in Japan

Hi Jim,

now its more than ever an open field and perhaps you are right and there are more types of persica!

One really should travel to a few of the edges of the area where Rosa persica is available in its natural habitates and look for differences, but - who in the hell would pay for such an odd project!

I don’t want to ask Ahmadinedjad for further support.))

Also Uzbekistan is not very politically correct … .

And China?

Well, well , well.

All evil, so, lets do it further in the backyards, what is possible. …

And: yes, thats what interests me now, too: which of the persica types is - perhaps - more fertile in different crossings.

Nobody knows, its really up to the future.

At least I will do crossings vice versa and with each type of persica too.

So every possibility will be tested in the next few years.

Greetings!

Arno

Aeno,

A couple weeks ago I searched for people from the Netherlands which where living in the persica area.

I found one name but when I was typing an email i thought it’s very hard to ask for R. persica because people must have some knowhow about roses. So i didn’t contact them. But you can also try find German people from the persica area. Lay contact with them and maybe you get lucky.

regards,

Timo
