How do you attach a photo to a post?

Every time I try to attach a jpg file it disapears, what am I doing wrong?

I think I was doing it backwords. I was browsing for the jpeg and then clicking on attach which cleared out the file. If I click on attach first then browse then when I click on post message it’s attached as an attachment. But what I really wanted was to attach a photo to the message like Margit did.

The foliage image is from my hard drive. It was attached by clicking on the “browse” then “attach”. The other is by clicking the red/blue dots for “attach Flickr image”. Perhaps your image was too large? The first I tried was and didn’t upload.

I created a Flickr account but now I have to authorize Phorum5 to be able to access the Flickr site. How does one do this?

If I recall, you first post the image you want in Flickr. When you click on the red/blue dots above where you enter your post, it brings up Flickr. If you haven’t given it permission yet, instructions come up on Flickr then. There is a code number it generates which you enter where asked. I’m sorry, but since I did it the other day, it doesn’t show what I saw anymore, and I only paid enough attention to it to get the blamed thing to do as I wanted. Once it did, I forgot.

Thanks Kim, Those are really nice photos by the way.

I seem to be getting circular instructions, I click on the red/blue dots and it says I need to go to Flickr tools, so I go to the control center and click on Flcker settings and it says I need to click on the red/blue dots. I think I’ll give up for now and try again tomorrow.

Thank you Paul. I am sorry I can’t remember the path to get where you want to be. It was confusing when I was trying to get there, too. Once I did it, I dumped the information. Now, though, you can upload from your PC. There is a new thread showing how. I’ll have to take a look to see if it’s simply the “attach file” above.

Yeah, the “attach file”, above the posting area works great! You just have to make sure that the file size is no larger than 614 KB.
