Last year I couldn’t get any flowers from R. abyssinica, but today I did when I went to Santa Clara University to put in transfer work. I wish I had my camera, what a beautiful sight. And there was a strong and delicous fragrance to the flowers. I took a few home for the pollen. I’m hoping to pollinate the first flower of a newly rooted Puerto Rico. Then there’s Baby Love, Golden Angel, and The Fairy is finally decided to put on as show. It will be intresting to see what I can get. What I’m really striving for is a R. foliolosa x abyssinica cross.
Oh, here’s a link that a few may like. It’s in French, but it is easily translated on reverso.net. I think Mr. Rutten will like it a lot. Enrique Munoz.
