Fun in the gray season

I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but here in Charleston, WV it is gray and sort of uninspiring.

It might make you feel better to see a video about rose propagation (including budding, rooting cuttings, and propagating from seeds). Budding is less and less important in commercial roses, but it is still done.

Well, I dunno if I’m being too persnickety, but a caveat on plant-patents for this how-to primer on propagating “modern roses” might have been in order!

When you say “budding is becoming less and less important”, I’m wondering what percentage of commercial plants are still budded. I assume a pretty good majority, no?

Peter,

The nursery would be a fun place to visit.

Do you have a mailing address or a website for it?
