Frozen Pollen

I recently froze several varieties of pollen in zip-lock bags for 2007 use. Has anyone had any experience on results and self life of frozen pollen? I live in the northern area of the United States and was hoping to gain a few days on my pollination program. Any comments would be appreciated. Thank You.

My Rosa primula pollen that I froze worked. Freedom pollen failed. I accidently left (forgot) the Rosa chinensis pollen in the freeze (oops lol).

Oh time:

Rosa primula- 4 months (it blooms early)

Freedom- 1 year.

Freedom was suprising because it is highly fertile. I think I messed up doing something wrong =(
