For those who like singles

Very intriguing - I’d order all of them.

I finally got around to taking a few more pictures of a single seedling from 2012 that I think is has good potential. I previously only had two pictures of the bloom that were taken when it first bloomed inside the house. The colors are a lot more clear now that it is outside and more mature.

It is my only Lafter X Fourth of July seedling that germinated. It has been an amazing seedling despite being in a nursery pot that dries out all the time. I can’t wait to see what it does once I get it in the ground - this week. I think it is somewhat cold hardy but I truly won’t know until it spends some time in the ground through the winter. It adds the disease resistance of Lafter with the vigor of Fourth of July. Lafter itself is pretty vigorous for a bush rose. I see a lot of its grandparent, Altissimo, in the bloom - color saturation and petal shape. The color is something like a coral-red with a small bright yellow base.

Nice striped single there Simon. I also like the hulthemia hybrid.
