That is interesting RYVV has been found in damask roses in Turkey. We first found it in a plant of ‘Dr. Merkeley’ in MN growing for decades in someone’s landscape. There are a more than the viruses under the Rose Mosaic Virus umbrella out there. Part of how we found this and some other viruses is that their symptoms do not disappear on the new growth to the same extent during the heat of summer, like the RMV umbrealla of viruses tend to do.
