I’m calling it the ‘Confederate Cemetery’ rose. It was found in a confederate cemetery that was once overgrown but was recently cleaned out and dozed and made into a memorial. The original rose was/has been long neglected and perhaps I have saved it. This is a one year old clipping. I thought it was going to open white and double… but then it ended up being pink and single…
Looks very Kordesii to me!
Yup, lol.
Kind of like a pale William Booth.
Is it a climber or shrub?
That is a very pretty pink, and the foliage is nice and clean, looks like a very healthy plant!
I’m not for sure but I suspect it will be a climber. The original plant was mowed down to the ground and it just had a few shoots coming back out and this one is still too young to know for sure.
