The American Rose Society will be holding their fall convention this year in Los Angeles, CA. I hope many of you have made your plans to attend. Our RHA meeting is scheduled for 10:20 am on Friday, October 14th in the Club Room of the Universal City Hilton Hotel. For our program I have asked Jim Sproul, the General Director Designee, to talk to us about his work with Hulthemias. I know many of you have read about his work in the newsletter and on the forum, so you will really enjoy his program. He told me that he should have some blooms of his Hulthemia seedlings that he can bring to share with us to get our opinions of them. If you have not met Jim, this is a wonderful opportunity to meet him.
I hope, if we have time, to discuss an electronic form of the newsletter and how best to make it work, particularly regarding the method of delivery. If you have some ideas on this, please discuss them with us when you are there. Hope to see many of you in Los Angeles.

John, As you would know I am in Australia and a member of RHA. I will not be attending the Fall meeting, but would love to. My point is, is there any way of having Jim’s presentation recourded some how so I can read or hear it. If possible this would be greatfully appreciated. Regards David.

I suggest smartphone-to-Youtube as a way of sharing the proceedings with those who cannot attend. Any volunteers?

A YouTube recording of the program would be wonderful! It would be the only way that many members (myself included) could see it.
Just use a laptop with a WebCam to record with. Its possible to mount web cams on camera extensions, too, since only the USB wire needs to be connected to the laptop for recording.
Can someone sponsor my flight, I will record it with whatever you people are talking about(HA HA)to record it, David.
No problem, David, I will just swing by and pick you up in the RHA Editor’s private jet. You will have to sit next to Peter Harris but I hope that doesn’t put you off. Our expense account will cover your luxury hotel suite and fine dining during your stay, as well. Just so long as you can make the recording for free.
Betsy, as you have all things needed for me to attend, I guess I can buy the recording equipment and place it on the expense account or is that stretching the friendship.
Well, we would have to offset the expense by having you skip dessert at the five star restaurants. Sorry about that but we don’t want to go overboard.
