Another issue of our beautiful newsletter went in the mail today. The cover picture is Nelson Vitous’s outstanding orange seedling resulting from a cross of Typhoo Tea x Asso di Cuori. Major articles include Jim Delahanty’s Survey of Polyantha Seed and Pollen Parents, Cass Bernstein’s Wild Roses of California and Bob Martin’s review of Frank Bernadella’s exhibiting & hybridizing history. The Symposium topic “My Most Valuable Rose” brought entries (and color pictures) from John Jelinek, Lydia Skirko, Paul Barden and Jim Bailey. As usual, Michel van der Hoek applied his superior graphics and layout talents to produce a visually appealing newsletter.
If you aren’t a member and thus not receiving the newsletter, you are really missing an valuable publication. Dues are still just $10 for US & Canadian members and $12 for overseas members. Consider joining RHA today. Membership materials are on the Membership page.
