Excellent.
Recover rebloom and I’ll give you one of Joe’s dollars too.

Thanks Don. Only a dollar LOL. That little bloom just fertilized 6 cultivars, the pollen release was very good.
This is a better pic of it.
Kodachrome!
Perfect
Virginiana F2 hybrid Seedling K7 L38 Type 2
Very nice Warren!
And I still think the foliage is beautiful on these!
Thanks Tom at the moment all F2’s are flowering or about to, it looks like the Austin cross is going to give me a white or very pale yellow. The only one which has not shown any flowering is the F1 X Curly Pink.
And the others.
Very nice! The size of the bloom clusters soprises me, is that a typical virginiana trait?
This is exciting its first bloom, now in its second growth cycle.
(Mimas X R. Virginiana) X Charles Austin
Fantastic! In yellow, too! The leaves looks like it is less, dunno, kordesii like- although that could just be a yellow thing (like in "albino " slipper orchids)
The earlier pictures might clarify my english…
Thanks Salix
This one has no Kordesii in it , it has a double wammy of Austin bloodlines though.
Warren
This was the F1 used in this cross.
Just as lovely, but I prefer yellow :P. The yellow one looks less virginiana-like than those derived from Kordesii, but little wonder, with Austin bloodlines. I hope to get an f1 like that! Or a yellow f2.
Warren, would it be possible to back cross this one “(Mimas X R. Virginiana) X Charles Austin” ? . I know you will say “why”, my answer is I do not know, as long as you can keep the yellow somehow. Do you want the Mimas x R. Virginia x or the Charles Austin side to have the more influence
Already done today but to another yellow Austin and 2 other yellow roses of mine.
Warren
The first one is a F1 (Kordesii X R. Virginiana) full double, damask like perfume, spring flowering.
The second one is a F2 (Kordesii X ( Mimas X R. Virginiana))
Very nice Warren. Both are attractive. Love the bloom and glossy leaves of the first one.
Thanks Rob. There are a few more to flower yet, hopefully next week.
