Dr. Gordon Von Abrams

I started reading Herb Swim book Roses from Dreams to Reality. He mentions briefly some research of Dr. Gordon Von Abrams. The research has to do with genes that intensify the yellow color in roses. I tried searching for the article he vaguely mentions but I could not find it. Does anyone know where to find Abrams articles on the subject? If not does anyone know what his research found out exactly? Thanks for any help. Adam
