Debut of the American Rose Trials for Sustainability program

Hi Everyone!!

It has been a long process to get the program to this point. We are excited to be announcing our first group of winning roses for 2018!!! The debut article announcing the program and our first winning roses is in the May issue of American Nurseryman Magazine. The digital issue is free and can be found at: http://www.amerinursery-digital.com/#&pageSet=0&contentItem=0

If you have a problem with Dave’s link try this one:

Thanks. As a matter of curiosity, will those trials be associated with the World Federation of Rose Societies? http://www.worldrose.org/ I have no idea how much value there is in such, but I go there from time to time to get a recap on trial winners around the world.

Thank you Phillip. I was thinking about pursuing what that would take. If it means we need to alter our scoring system and methodology for how plants are cared for the answer is no, but if we can continue with what we are doing I think it would be a good idea and help open up more exposure for the program and stronger communication with people managing other trials. At the Rose Symposium in a couple weeks in Angers, France, we are presenting on A.R.T.S. and there will be World Federation of Rose Societies representatives there. It will be a great opportunity to discuss the possibility.

That should be a fun trip, David. I wish you all the best, and a wonderful time!
