I kept one OP seedling from Basye’s Purple and is blooming in its second year. I really love the color on this one, the color on the photo does not do it justice. I suppose it is a self but not sure, I do have home run in the same bed next to it. I like the foilage much better than Basye’s purple. Maybe I could try some home run pollen on it and see what happens. I have to see if it is fertile now that I am finished my hybridizing for this Spring. I suppose it is Diploid.
