Another rose virus paper from Minnesota

“Title: Complete nucleotide sequence of rose yellow vein virus, a member of the family Caulimoviridae having a novel genome organization”

I have the full paper. The following were of interest to me:

"The virus and the disease were transmissible by grafting, but not by aphid or mechanical transmission, and only to rose

(Rosa spp.) [4]."

“Virus used for genomic DNA characterization in this study was obtained from naturally infected plants of the rose cv. Dr. Merkeley in Minnesota, USA.”

“The data presented in Fig. 2 illustrate that RYVV does not align with members of any of the six known genera in the family Caulimoviridae and support the conclusion, mentioned above, that RYVV is a distinct new member of this family.”
