Another rose ID

I have another rose that just opened. It’s a rather odd one growth wise seeing it’s growing in a large tub to keep it from taking over. It’s growth height is140-150cm. This one was from an old homestead where it had been plowed into a pile of debris to make a driveway in 1950, but actually thrived there. It produces no hips at all. It’s also prone to powdery mildew. It is not easily propagated from stem cuttings but will grows easily from root cuttings. Very fragrant like a strongly scented Old Blush. Will post more pics of it tomorrow as it opens.

If the blooms open a dark grape purple on the topside of the petals and a very pale mauve/white om the reverse, and they are no larger than about 3 inches across, then I think there’s a very good chance you have ‘Cardinal de Richelieu’. It would have a fairly light, peppery fragrance. Not sweet.
