Order from her NOW before she culls something you really wanted, or has to close due to lack of any water. Culling is something she is actively going to do. Closing is a very real possibility once the water runs out…
That would be a shame. 
Yes, but necessary. There simply isn’t water. Drilling new wells costs as much EACH as my parents paid for their 1800 sq ft house on a quarter acre in the San Fernando Valley in 1970. That’s expensive, particularly when there is no guaranty how long that source will remain viable. And, how many $10 roses would she have to sell to pay for one new well?
I sure hope it doesn’t go that far.
I just received my order from Burling. What great specimens! One was Jeri Jennings (replacement for one that had RRD) in bloom and as soon as I opened the box I was overcome by the powerful fragrance, which was amazing.
I went to here place a couple of years ago and picked up a few plants. She’s is a wonderful and helpful person. I got the grand tour and a real education. I think it was May when I was there and the nursery was gorgeous to say the least.
