I do not know how many hybridizers will be able to utilize this, but I felt that we should at least know that this paper/ field exists,

Thank you Henry. this is a big step forward. Also in the refs I noticed a newish paper (2017) in Plant Journal, discussing preferential chromosomal pairing in tetraploid roses. I need to read that but suspect it will show why sometimes it seems that the maternal or paternal traits seem to stick together like glue.

Great read. It won’t be long before the commercial breeders are using marker kits off the shelf.
