2017 germinations

Sorry, David Mears, but I’ve been doing some research and the only roses that grow in your region are PINK. evil chuckle

Joe, that is not nice, off to the bad boys corner for you, LOL. I thought that would have been Warren’s reply as he knows I am not a pink fan, lets just say any color but pink.

Seedling S2 T89 has its first bloom. The perfume is amazing very strong and fruity.

I am interested in learning if your crosses with R. acicularis eventually are subject to rust? Or is rust even a problem where you are?

Beautiful range of foliage, Warren.
(I’m hoping to breed for anything other than yellow splotched with dark spots this year.)

Hi Margit;
I haven’t worked with R. acicularis as a single species only from it being in this cross [(R. calocarpa x R. nutkana) x R. acicularis]. None of the offspring have shown any signs of rust.

Cheers Warren

Hi Phil;
Thanks for the comment. I am not sure the availability of the latest Kordes range. Here in Oz we are around 4 to 5 yrs behind their release in Europe. They are worth hunting up if your looking for healthy offspring.

Cheers Warren
