Really liking the Ann Endt seedling

Yes I agree with Rob B, I like the foliage , do you think it will stay this way Warren ?

One of the many thornless seedlings for this year. Seedling O28 P50 type 1

This is a seedling which germinated this year, the cross is Wendy(schuurman) X seedling from Robe Fleurie type 2. I am really happy the way this seedling is growing.

O22 P59.jpg

A seedling derived from Princesse Violette, so far the growth and flowering abilities are similar to previous years seedlings. This seedling will probably get to around 100cm when mature.
EDH 17 17.jpg

The first seedling is O8 P8 , Sympathie X Smoocher, half opened.

The second seedling is a seedling derived from “Belle des Fagnes”.

It will be interesting to see what “Seedling EISA 4 type 3” does Warren

These are two OP seedlings of (Calocarpa X Nutkana) X Acicularis. The second one shows a little PM but it seems to no problem.

Seedling O28 P26 looks like it would make quite a statement in the landscape. Several of these new seedlings show a lot of promise. You show several seedlings of (Calocarpa X Nutkana) X Acicularis. I have been using that combo in several different crosses, and it seems to lend a drought tolerance ability to some of their offspring. I have a cross of {(Calocarpa X Nutkana) X Acicularis)} X Prairie Peace which is extremely tough, tolerant, disease free and even better is a good repeat bloomer which crosses readily with almost anything. It is gearing up for another bloom flush now, and this might be a good time to get a few crosses made with something very double. So far I have not been to successful in producing much in the way of a big double bloom form with them. I have one (Calocarpa X Nutkana) X Acicularis derivative that is thornless this year.

Thanks Jackie, The seedling O28 P26 looks like a big form of Robe Fleurie the pollinator. It is good to hear about your success with the (Calocarpa X Nutkana) X Acicularis seedlings, I can’t wait to use them.

Warren

Since I sent out open pollinated seeds of (Calocarpa X Nutkana) X Acicularis, the references above should be ((Calocarpa X Nutkana) X Acicularis) X OP as the mothers.

Thanks Henry I have made a note of that in my records.

Cheers Warren

Seedling O24 P18. The pollinator was “The Temptress”
